From one ad in the paper to a village of hundreds

I answered an ad to become a loan officer. Three months later I was managing, and before long I had broken two company sales records. One of them still stands. At 26 I co-founded a mortgage brokerage in Colorado. Later, in Georgia, I built my own insurance agency and then a real estate team that grew from 2 agents to 48.

Then I bought the Village franchise, and then the company. In four years we grew from 67 agents to 553 and became the largest veteran, woman and minority owned independent brokerage in the country. In 2024 we merged with Real, a story covered by Yahoo Finance and Inman.

Along the way I hired a coach, became one, and was named Coach of the Year in my first full year. I have spoken on stages to rooms of 400 to 2,500 people. So Village Premier is my next table, the place where I share everything I have learned about business, money and leading yourself with people who want to grow in the softer era of life.
